Hi, Iām Esther!
I'm a coach who helps people find their path forward from what was to what's next, a transitional stage I like to call the Space of Becoming. What I've found to be true is this: when we tap into our authenticity, we not only find our way forward, but we create a purposeful and fulfilling life.
For 15 years I worked as a commercial illustrator and designer, and by many measures, I was successful. But that success came with burnout, and a sense that I'd abandoned my own authenticity along the way. That frustration sent me on a journey of learning to listen to my intuition, and it changed everything. I became curious about how intuition and the creative process work, which led me to study the neuroscience of creativity. From that inquiry, I developed The Flow Spiral Path, a framework I now use to guide clients through change. I also transitioned from commercial illustration into fine art and coaching.
As an intuitive and trauma-informed coach, I work with each person holistically and individually, starting wherever they are in their journey. I won't hand you a list of to-do's based on what I think you should do. Instead, we work together to get to the core of what you actually want, and the beliefs that have been holding you back. That process is highly individual, and in order to reach your goals, it could include intuitive listening, inner child work, cognitive exercises, or setting boundaries.
I am neurodivergent, live with chronic illness, and manage depression and anxiety. Many of my clients are also neurodivergent or live with illness, depression, or anxiety, and find it helpful to be mentored by someone who has found strategies that actually work.
I believe that having compassion for ourselves, while still building the capacity to dream big, is key to moving forward when life is hard. For over a decade I taught creativity and design at institutions like Kent State University, Cornish College of the Arts, and Pacific Lutheran University, and I've since brought The Flow Spiral Path to organizations like Amazon, Adobe, CreativeMornings, Bend Design Conference and many other workshops. I co-host The Flow Into Authenticity Podcast with Allison Henrich, PhD, and our co-authored book Think Like An Artist, Create Like A Mathematician is being released this fall.
I am a teacher and mentor at heart, and I love finding and nurturing the uniqueness in each person I work with. If you're looking for someone who does things differently, who can help you connect to your inner guidance while building a life and work you love, let's connect.
